2 Die in Clash in India

NEW DELHI — The Indian police said Sunday that two Pakistani militants were killed in a shootout in a suburb of New Delhi, a day before India’s Republic Day celebrations.

New Delhi, the capital, Mumbai and other Indian cities have been on high alert for the holiday, which commemorates the adoption of India’s Constitution after the country gained independence from Britain.
